Boba Fett Pouch Assembly Tips The bulk of these instructions can be found at the Build Your Own Boba Fett site. The pattern on the left is based on Sean Burgess' design. You can make your pouches out of either vinyl or leather. Leather was used in the examples on the next few pages. Leather Weld is available from Tandy Leather and it does a fantastic job at holding the pouches closed. You'll need to start by printing out this pattern and making it to scale on a heavier piece of paper, like poster board. The numbers represent how long (in inches) that piece of leather needs to be. Then, buy a large bolt of leather. You'll be making between six and eight pouches so make sure you buy enough. Take your pattern with you when you go to buy your leather!

Chose a thickness that is medium but not so thick you can't bend it and not so thin that it won't hold up during construction and use. Cut a piece of balsa wood or styrofoam to the dimensions of: 3 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. Folding the leather around the block helps make all the pouches exactly the same size. Balsa wood can be found in the airplane section of your local hobby store. |
