Boba Fett Gauntlets Several methods are available for attaching the bottom and top parts of the gauntlets together. In the picture above, look at the seam between the two halves near the belt. It isn't very clear in the photograph, but the original gauntlets (on at least the inside) are held together with velcro. Good reference material for the other side of the gauntlet is rare, so there could be more velcro, a hinge or something else. The silver control panel on the left gauntlet (shown above) has five rows of notches. Paint the inner two rows red, the next two rows black and leave the last row silver.

Gauntlet Darts Here's an inexpensive way to make a great looking set of Fett darts. Grab four Bic pens and four small nails. Take the ink/ball point insert out of the pen body. Remove the see-through shaft containing the ink from the ball point assemby (the goldish colored end). You now will be left with the end piece that does the actual writing (the goldish piece). Take a rolled up paper towel or a Q-tip and clean the ink out of the tip.

Next, take a sharp object and cut the pen tip at the point were it would typically join at the blue part at the end of the white plastic pen shaft. You should now have a dart end shaped thing. Once again take and clean the ink out of the end of the pen tip (yes, this can be very messy). Take the pen tip and scribble on a piece of paper to drain the last bits of remaining ink out of it. |

Find a shiny silver nail whose diameter is sized to fit snuggly in the hole in the pen tip. The right size nail should hold itself to the pen tip but you may want to use a little super glue. Before permanently attaching the tip,go ahead and use a saw to cut off the hammering end of the nail. Now take your nail/tip and paint it with chrome or silver paint. |
