This is the gun that
the Jawa uses to incapacitate R2 at the beginning of ANH. It is
constructed from a demilled British Lee-Enfield #1 Mark 3 Grenade
Launching rifle. These rifles are easy to come by and relatively
inexpensive but the grenade lauching variety and lauching cup
are a bit harder to find. If you can get a cup then finding a
rifle should not be difficult.

requires quite a bit of work but it isn't too bad. The barrel
must be cut and I welded a solid rod into the barrel as well as
cutting the firing pin to make the gun completely unfirable. Please
check the laws regarding this if you do it yourself as I am not
responsible for the legalities of how you do this!
The stock also has to be cut down, sanded and finished. An adapter must then be made to attach the grenade cup to the barrel. This can be machined or made from iron pipe which will thread into the cup and a pipe adapter.
Business end of the
nearly complet Ion Gun. All it needs now is a powerpack and tube
to the stock. Unfortunately nobody has been able to confirm what
type of flask was used for the powerpack. I plan on making a custom
one out of copper flashing soldered together.
This is a custom holster I made so the Jawa can carry the gun
around. It is similar to one I have seen in some pictures from
the movie.
