Jawa Boots One of the keys to having a fantastic Jawa prop is the boots. Flaring the bottom of the robe out over the mannequin doesn't look very natural. Wal-Mart carries some good rain boots (as shown on the left) for about $10. You may have luck at flea markets or at Goodwill and find a suitable boot for a little less money. Just make sure the boot you choose has either a flat sole or a low heel. Pick up some cotton duck cloth, available at any fabric store or in the fabric department at Wal-Mart. Tear several strips of the fabric into 1 to 1 1/2" strips and dye the fabric with RIT Cocoa Brown #20 dye. You'll also want to tear two oversized pieces to cover the toe of the boots. |
