| Obi-Wan's lightsaber consisted of (from left to right) a gas burner nozzle, a British grenade, a Graflex clamp, calculator bubbles, a wood lathe gear and a sink knob. Please note the emitter is still a theory as no one has found an exact match for that part. |
| Here is a picture of the British rifle grenade that was used for the grip and collar, directly beneath the emitter . For years, the prop community thought this piece was a rubber hand grip from a motorcycle. |

| A
Graflex clamp is the piece that holds the top and bottom sections of a
graflex flash tube together. See the Luke
Skywalker ANH lightsaber tutorial for more information.
See the Calculator Display Bubbles section for more information. The exact brand and model number for the conveyor belt gear has yet to be discovered. Here is a comparison shot of the Galaxy Trading pommel and the Armitage handwheel. These two are the best choices when you're looking to make a replica Obi-Wan saber. Contact Ron Freeze if you're interested in purchasing a handwheel. One should note the Galaxy Trading pommel is made from aluminum and the Armitage handwheel is chromed plastic. A hole was drilled in the handwheel for a 3/4" D-ring so the prop could be hung from the actor's belt. |
