Stormtrooper Tips By now, you've probably noticed you can't bend over when you're wearing the belly and butt pieces. If you flip these pieces over and look at the backs, you'll notice a faint line running across each piece.
Take a dremel and make a cut across this line. When you're through, sand the cut with a medium grade sandpaper. You can attach the two separated pieces together with black velcro. Use this trick for both the belly and butt pieces. Note: If you're "pear shaped" you may want to leave these pieces intact. These two pieces can actually give the illusion that you aren't.
The images above show the belly and back pieces after they've been cut. The elastic suspenders were replaced with black nylon webbing that's available at any fabric store and in the fabric section of Wal-Mart. This will eliminate the "give" associated with elastic. Parachute clips were added to the webbing so the armor can easily be put on and removed. |
