TIE Pilot Tips The best place to get a TIE Pilot chest box is from Richie's Armor. Universal Armorer (UA) sells their kits for $75, shown to the right. Unfortunately, UA was convicted on several charges and they no longer produce merchandise.

The images that follow are UA armor highly modified by cutting off the chest box and making it a seperate part, which isn't necessary, but it is a nice touch.
Some detail parts from the little pull bins at Lowes have been added to the box. Assorted snap grommets and caps were used for the painted round red, white, and silver detail parts. 93 tooth R/C car gears and large washers were used for the lower chest box side detail parts. The "fake" hose connectors were large sink drain fitting nuts. The hose has a 1 1/4" diameter and was found at a vacuum repair shop. |

Note: the ANH version has an extra hose going beginning between the R/C gear and the top hose and ending in the side of the backplate. The ROTJ version is shown here. The TIE Pilot armor was not shown in ESB.

TIE Pilot Shoulders The four shoulder rectangles are made from 2" X 3" styrene sheet plastic and round snap grommets. These pieces were painted black and glued onto the shoulder straps. There are four rectangles total, two on each shoulder placed back to back.
